New 2027 Ford Explorer Platinum 4x4 in St. Louis, MO

The 2027 Ford Explorer Platinum welcomes driving enthusiasts with a sense of composure and connection that is rare in three-row SUVs.

Buyers who prioritize driving enjoyment in a versatile SUV will find this Explorer Platinum suits their desires. It’s for those who notice steering response, the subtle interplay of suspension and chassis, and the difference in ride quality on their daily route. Families in the St. Louis area, or anyone facing varied weather and road conditions, will appreciate the standard 4WD for both peace of mind and the confident way it puts power down in the real world. The thoughtfully crafted Mojave Dusk/Onyx interior, panoramic Vista Roof, and intuitive controls ensure every drive feels special, turning the ordinary into something to look forward to.

Performance is the Explorer Platinum’s defining trait. The 3.0L EcoBoost V6 responds crisply to throttle input, surging forward with authority but never abruptness. The 10-speed automatic delivers nearly imperceptible shifts, always ready to _drop a gear for quick passing or hold a higher gear for relaxed cruising. Speed-sensing steering builds heft with pace, inspiring confidence in corners and on-ramps, while the four-wheel independent suspension isolates bumps yet communicates road texture. The brake pedal feels progressive and firm, allowing precise modulation even during spirited driving. EPA ratings of 17 city and 22 highway mpg mean you can enjoy this performance without constant refueling interruptions.

Safety systems in this SUV are engineered to enhance, not intrude on, the driving experience. Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control intervene subtly, letting you explore the chassis’s limits with an extra layer of security. Brake assist delivers immediate stopping power in emergencies, while the rearview camera and rain-sensing wipers sharpen awareness in tricky conditions. The lane-keeping features and emergency communication system provide assurance without dulling the sense of control. The result is a driving environment where confidence and enjoyment coexist, supported by technology rather than dictated by it.

Every detail in the Explorer Platinum’s equipment list serves both comfort and engagement behind the wheel. The 3.0L Ultimate Package brings heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel for year-round comfort
